Step 1 Lead-in
1. Play a guessing game.
T: Boys and girls, let’s play a guessing game. Please listen to me carefully, and guess what animal it is.
2. Revision.
T: We know some fun facts about elephants and goldfish. Do you still remember them? There are no bones in the back of elephants’ feet—only fat. Fish sleep with their eyes open.
Step 2 Presentation
1.pre- Listening.
T: Mr Wu is showing Suzy some pictures of animals. Listen to their conversation and answer the question. How many animals are they talking about? And what are they?
T: Listen again. Put the pictures in the correct order. Write the numbers 1-4 in the boxes.

2.while- Listening.
(1) Listen and answer.
T: Suzy is afraid of animals. Mr Wu wants to help her. He is telling her some interesting things about animals. Listen to their conversation and answer some questions.
(2) Listen and complete the sentences.
T: Please listen again and help Suzy complete her notes.

1. Finish a thank-you letter.
T: Suzy is not afraid of animals now. She is writing a thank-you letter to Mr Wu. Help her finish the letter.
