Show some pictures and describe the following animals and learn new words:camel , ant, snake, dry, little, without, etc.
Giraffes are quite tall. They have long necks. They are the tallest animals on land.
Camels live in very dry places and can live without water for a long time.
A snake lives on the ground ,in trees or in water. It eats little or nothing in cold winter.
Ants have a good smell. They are hard-working.
Step 4 Listening and practice
Task 1 Help Suzy find the animals
Ask the students to listen to the tape and answer :Which animals are they? Then the students listen to the conversation in Part A again and put the pictures in correct order. Write the number 1-4 in the boxes.
Task 2 Listen to Part A2 and fill the blanks.
