Step 1 Lead-in
1. Watch a video
T: Boys and girls, let’s watch a video Sounds that the animals make and guess what animals they are.

Step 2 Presentation
1. Listening.
T: Mr Wu is showing Suzy some pictures of animals, so first let’s see how many animals are they talking about, and what are they? Have a guess.

T: Suzy is interested in knowing the animals. Listen to their conversation. Put the pictures in the correct order. Write the numbers 1-4 in the boxes.

2. Say something about animals
Giraffe:How many bones are there in its long neck?
Snake: How much food does a snake eat during its winter sleep?
Camel: ships of the desert; Do they often need to drink a lot of water?
Ant: smell things far away; good at carrying things; How do ants know there is something sweet?
3. Listening.
Suzy is glad to know about these animals.
(1) Listen and answer.
T: First Suzy is afraid of animals. Mr Wu wants to help her. He is telling her some interesting things about animals. Listen to their conversation and answer some questions.
(2) Listen and complete the sentences.
T: Please listen again and help Suzy complete her notes.
