A. Using as … as

Step 1 Lead-in

Show the picture of West Lake and Slender West Lake.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Show the pictures of the model Golden Gate Bridge and the real Golden Gate Bridge and complete the sentences

2. Show the pictures of two girls and two boys and two girls, and complete sentences

3. Explain the usage of “as … as” and “not so … as”

Step 3 Practice

1.Show four pictures of different cars of different colors and prices and encourage students to compare each other and try to complete the sentences.

2. Show the profiles of five students and do more exercises by comparing their height, weight and English scores.

3. Show two pictures of students in class and complete the sentences.

4.Make a conclusion

5. Finish the exercises on P35 of the textbook.

6. Make more explanations about the structure and do more exercises.

B Reflective pronouns

Step 1 Lead-in

Show students some cartoon characters and introduce some phrases with reflective pronouns.

Step 2 Presentation

1. Show students the table of reflexive pronouns

2. Show the usage of reflexive pronouns and some common phrases with reflective pronouns

Step 3 Practice

1. Translate some phrases with reflective pronouns
