2. Show some more pictures about other types of books
history/ computer/ education/ art/ sports…
3. Discuss: What type of book are you interested in? Why?
Step 3 Listen and answer(welcome Part B):
Sandy and Daniel are talking about what they like to read..
Listen to the tape and answer the following question.
1.What is Daniel’s favourite type of book? Why?
2. What is he reading now?
3. What does Sandy like to read?
4. What book does she think is great?
Step 4 Comic strips
1. Guess: Do you think our old friends Eddie and Hobo like reading?
2. Show the flash
3.Answer the following questions:
1) Has Hobo decided what to do with the books?
2) What does Hobo want to use the books to do?
3) Does Eddie really like to read books?
4. Act out the conversation.
Step 5 Activity --- good book recommendation
Separate students into 6 groups and ask them to introduce one of their favourite books. Each group has a winner. The winner of each group is asked to go to the blackboard to do the presentation. The final winner is the one whose book attracts the most students.
