1. Turn to page 49 and write the typeof book under each picture. Then put a tick in the box if you’ve read this type of book before .
2．Check the answers together . what type of book are you interested in ? Have you ever read this type of book ? Further questions:
(1) what is the title of the book?
(2) what is the book about ?
(3) Do you like the book ?Why/Why not?
3. To listen to the conversation in part B and answer the following questions .
(1) What is Daniel’s favourite type of book ? Why ?
(2) What is he reading now ?
(3) What does sandy like to read ?
(4) What book does she think is great ? Why ?
4. To listen to the conversation and explan the new words and phrases to the students : Germany , improve my knowledge of the past ,in your spare time ,French writer ,ugly ,touch me .

1. Now read after the tape. Pay attention to your pronunciation of the proper nouns .
