环节三What is the attributive clause?

这是我的水杯。

This is my cup.

这是装满水的水杯。

This is the cup full of water.

这是我喝茶用的杯子。

This is the cup which I use to drink tea.

定语从句: 在复合句中,修饰名词和代词的从句

环节四 The structure of the Attributive Clause

1.He is an English teacher who likes singing songs.

结构:先行词(antecedent)+引导词+定语从句(the attributive clause)

2.What are the relative pronouns(关系代词)?

When can we use them?

(1)Here is a word.

Its meaning escapes me.

Here is a word whose meaning escapes me.

(2)The teacher is motivating his students.

Their dream is to pass the college entrance examination.
