Let’s chant: What’s in the school?
（设计意图：利用本册书第一单元Let’s chant，巩固旧知。歌曲导入激发学习兴趣，由There be 句型导入本单元的核心句型。）
Step 2: 新授
Round1：T: ppt出示第一单元的图片。
Ss:用There be 句型来描述图片所呈现的场所。
T: PPT出示图片，并问：Is there a playground in your school？引导学生回答：Yes,there is.
教师板书核心语言:Is there a/an...in your school?Yes,there is.
T: 出示图书馆图片，并问：Is there a library in your school？引导学生回答：No,there isn’t.并板书句子：No,there isn’t.
通过ppt出示图片，以游戏的方式依次教授单词art room、canteen, computer room, teachers’ office,在此基础上充分练习句型Is there a/an...in your school?Yes,there is.No,there isn’t.
教师手里拿一个海洋球
T:Is there a ball in my hand？
Ss:Yes ,there is.把球放在box里。
T:Where is it?
变化位置复习介词：in ,on ,under, in front of, behind.引出新词beside,between.通过描述学生的位置关系操练两个单词。
(设计意图：熟练掌握句型及单词，通过游戏操练，目的是突破教学难点。)
让学生将各个图片贴到对应的位置上面，并操练核心词汇及句型，综合巩固。
Round 2: Listen and say
T: 出示问题：1. Is there a canteen in the school?
2.Where are the computer rooms?
Ss: Listen and answer the questions.
b.Listen to the tape again.
c.Listen and imitate.
d.Read emotionally.
（设计意图：Listen and say环节由问题引入，通过表演对话活动， 将课文详细化，同时注意培养学生的语音和语调）
Step3: Practicing
出示学校场所图片，利用核心语言进行对话练习。
（设计意图：语言的学习重在输出的过程，在现实的学校场所当中， 学生能够利用本课的核心语言进行对话，尽享英语带来的乐趣。）
