Step 1:Free talk

T: I found this picture on the Internet. Please look at Friday. What is he doing?

Ss: He is jumping.

T: Why is he jumping?

Ss: Because the weekends are coming. He is so happy.

Step 2:Lead in

1. Learn new words about the seven days in a week. First the students try to guess how to pronounce these words. With the teacher’s help, correct the pronunciation and repeat Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

2. Play the game to ensure the effect of new words learning.

3. Show a picture to the students. In the picture, there are some letters, which present seven words about the week. Then the teacher plays the radio and the students enjoy the song Weekdays.
