Pre-task preparations
1、学生欣赏一首有关学校的儿歌或歌曲，说出歌曲中有关学校设施的单词。
2、出示课题Open Day,教师提出问题,学生思考并回答.
3、出示学校校门口的照片，Where is it ?
Do you like our school ? Why ?
While-task procedures
1、通过游戏竞猜方式出示新授单词及复习部分单词和句型，展示学校不同功能室及设施的照片，通过与学生问答来学习新单词及复习与本课时有关的知识点，为会话教学做铺垫。
1)学生阅读提示句子，猜测相应地点，学习新单词school gate, art room, hall, meeting room，meet,在句型中巩固练习新单词。
It is always in front of the school building.
Parents wait for the children there.
T: Where is it ? …
2) 复习与本课时有关的单词
T: What is that?
S1: It is a library.
T: What can you do in the library?
S1: I can read books in it.
T: When do you go to the library?
S1: I go to the library on Tuesday afternoon.
3)看图片说单词。
4) T：Do you know other rooms ?
2、播放listen and say的录音。让学生听录音，思考以下问题：
1)What are they talking about?
2)Where are Ms Guo and her students?
3)When is the Open Day?
4)When will the parents come to the school?
5)Where will Ms Guo meet the parents?
在与学生问答的同时，结合单词卡片，巩固新授单词meet，school gate等。
