The important points in this lesson are the new words: kitchen, toilet, room, living room, hide, hide-and-seek, now, last, sofa. And the new sentences “Where did you find somebody/something?” “I found somebody/something in somewhere.”

The difficult point:

Help the students use the sentences correctly and skillfully. 5.教学过程设计Step 1 Warm-up (2 minutes)

1. Greetings

设计意图: Greetings环节的师生互相问候,可以拉近师生关系,能使孩子感受到进入英语学习的氛围中,通过介绍竞赛规则,充分调动孩子的积极性。有利于建造出轻松愉快的语言学习环境。

Step 2 Lead-in (5 minutes)

T: Today we will learn a new lesson. Module 10 unit 1 He was in the kitchen. Then use the picture of Tom, ask the students: who is he?

The students will answer: he is Tom.

Then I will say: Yes, Tom is a naughty boy, he likes playing hide-and-seek. Then I will let the students look the flash of activity 1. (从Tom 是个淘气的男孩,他喜欢玩捉迷藏自然过渡到课文活动一的学习)

After the flash, I will teach the new words: kitchen, toilet, room, living room.

After teaching the new words, we will say the chant together.

设计意图:通过活动一的学习,学生初步掌握了这四个房间的英文单词,在说chant的活动中,自然地导入,为新课教学打下基础。

Step 3 Task presentation and new text learning (15 minutes)

Ask the students to look and listen the flash of activity 2, with the question “What game are they playing?”

let the students listen activity 2 for the second time, ask the students to underline the answers of these four questions

“Where did you find Sam?”

“Where did you find John? ”

“Where did you find Lingling? ”

“Where did you find Tom? ”

Then teach the key sentences

“Where did you find Lingling? I found Lingling in the toilet.” by the situational environment. Then write down the key sentences.

(3)teach the new words: now, last, sofa one by one.

(4) let the students to read the text by themselves, and fill in the blanks.

(5)After check the answers, I will let the students to read the text after the CD.

(6)Play the roles.

设计意图:在课文情境中教新单词和新句子,学生能更好更自然地理解。通过听课文找答案和小练笔避免了学生枯燥地机械地学习课文知识,可以帮助学生提高他们的听力和书写能力。
