Project English Grade8 Unit7 Topic2 Section B is focused on how to cook sandwiches. The type of this lesson is listening and speaking, and according to the Junior High School English Curriculum Standards that requests the students who are in Grade 8 should achieve the level 4.From the aspects of speaking and listening skills, the students can suppose the meaning of new words and the main idea from the picture and context.Understand the conversation through key words and picture. According to listening skills, they can understand the conversation well and then they can speak the sentences and the conversation smoothly . Combined with the teaching content of this lesson, I design the teaching aims.

The students in Grade 8 are interested in this lesson, it is connect to their daily life,especially the pair work and group work in the class. The students are active in this type of teaching. But the students seldom communicate in English in their daily life. They are not confident. So I should help them to form a good habit in speaking English. In this way, I can achieve my teaching aims.

教学目标

After learning this class, the students will be able to achieve these aims:

Understand the new words and sentences in context and use them to communicate in oral and written work.

To use the listening skills----- suppose and guess the main idea from the picture, get the key information from listening to answer the questions. And get the specific information in the listening part from English short--- hand writing.

Learn the process of making sandwiches and evaluate it by Comparative and Superlative Degrees of Adverbs.

Courage students to cook for their mother on Mother’s Day, and lead students to feel their mother’s hardworking.

教学重点

1. Master the usage of Comparative and Superlative Degrees of adverbs.

2.Apply the new words to make new conversations about cooking.

教学难点

Cultivate students the spirit of loving their mothers and lead them to use the knowledge into their daily life.

教法学法

Situational Methods, tasked- based methods and group work.

First,do a warming-up, review the process of cooking fried rice. Watch a video about the bite of China to attract the students’ interests.

Second,lead students to learn new words and suppose the main idea of the conversation.

Third,lead students listen to the conversation and find out the details according to key words.

Then,lead students to retell the conversation according to the key words.

Last,lead students to cook sandwiches by themselves and cook it for their mothers on Mother’s Day.
