Step 1 New words
Let the students read the useful words and expressions in this unit and try to lead in the new lesson.
Step 2 New Phrases
1.Let the students put the key phrases into Chinese.
2.Then read the words together. Correct the pronunciation if necessary.
3.Check them the useful phrases.
Step 3 Before Reading
1. Complete the chart with words of the opposite meaning.
2.Then let them make a chain drill.
Step 4 While Reading
1.Fast reading. Read the newspaper article and answer the following questions.
(1) Who’s the article about?
(2) What does he do ?
2.Careful reading.
(1)Read the newspaper article. Which shows the real criminal? Let the students know how to get the answer.
(2) Read Para1 and find out the object clause. Then let them make some key sentences using the object clause.
(3)Read para2 and find out the topic sentence.
(4)Read the article again and write what the words in bold refer to.
