Teaching procedures:

Stage1.Revision

Step1.Review the prepositions of position we have learned:

in, on , under,behind...

Step2.Review the sentence structure “there be”.

For example,look at the pictures and describe them with “there be”

Stage2. Pre---reading.

Step1.Present a picture of a yard and a house,then ask the students :Do you like the yard or house ?Why?

Step2.Show another picture of a yard and talk:

Do you like this yard ?Why?

How many rooms are there in the picture?

Stage3.While---reading.

Step1.Listen and check your answer in 1a is right .

Step2.Read the passage again and answer the questions in 1b in order to understand the passage.

(Before answering the questions ,we must learn and understand the new phrases :in the center of,on the left﹨right of.)

Step3.Check the answers.

Stage4.Post---reading.

Describe your home with the sentence structure”there be” just like the boy in 1a.(before describing ,the teacher should give the students some tips they must pay attention.For example,Be patient and listen to your partner carefully.)

Stage5. Homework.

Read the passage “My home”loudly and fluently.

Write a composition”My home”just like the boy.
