Step 1 Warm-up

1. Greetings and say a chant.

2.Review some phrases, eg: ride a bike, jump high, jump fast…

3.Talk about pictures: Can you…? Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

(Design purpose: Freely talking and relaxing chant not only can establish a harmonious relationship between teachers and students , but also can create a good English learning atmosphere. Besides, Ss will review the sentence “Can you…? Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.” to be prepared for the next learning.)

Step2 Lead –in

T: You can do so many sports, you really super. Today I will invite a star to join in our learning. Look, who is he? He is YaoMing, he is a basketball star, he can play basketball very well, and he is strong.(学习生词strong 和star)

What about our friends Lingling and Sam? Can Sam play football? What about Lingling? That’s what we will learn today. Their teachers are talking about them. Let’s go and see.
