四、教学步骤

Step 1:Leading in

Ask: When we talk about the world records, we usually think of the Olympics. What do you know about the Olympics?

【设计思路】:引入新课,激发学习兴趣。

Step 2:Presentation

Show some pictures and ask questions, get the students to answer the questions and understand the meanings. Then have a test.

【设计思路】:用图片新授单词,让学生可以对形象生动的画面产生深刻的印象,激发学习兴趣,调动多种感官参与学习活动,更好地理解单词意思以及在语境中的用法,并及时检测巩固。

Step 3: Listening

Play the tape, get the students to listen and fill in the blanks.

After listening, check the answers. Make sure that they can understand.

【设计思路】:培养学生的听力能力,让学生在听录音的同时努力了解文章大意.

Step:4:Reading

Get the students to read the text carefully and answer the questions.

Then check the answers. Make sure that they can understand.

Explain the new words and useful expressions.

【设计思路】:培养学生阅读能力和答题能力,让学生深入了解本课内容。:

Step 5: Talking

1) Ask: What do you know about the history of the Olympics?

Get the students to work in groups and talk .Get some groups to present in class.

2)Ask : What else do you know about the history of the Olympics?

Then show pictures about Liu Changchun and Xu Haifeng , help the students talk about them.

【设计思路】:发挥小组作用,合作完成任务。让学生了解更多关于奥运的知识,在谈论时复习和运用所学知识。

Step 6: Practice

Let Ss.try to translate the sentences of the text, and the teacher helps them if necessary.
