Step 1 Leading in

By reviewing the old lesson to the new lesson. Fill in the blanks according to the pictures to practice “so that...and such... that...”

目的:复习导入。通过复习旧课,把A—C串起来,复习本话题的重点句型,温故而知新并通过“We know that the suitable clothes not only make us more beautiful or more handsome but also have other functions. Do you what to know what they are?”导入新课。

Step 2 Presentation

1. Do the fast reading and answer the two questions about 1a.

2. Before reading, read the questions first.

(1) What were the first types of clothes made of? (Animal skins)

(2) What can clothing also show nowadays?

(They can also show people our jobs, our hobbies our culture and even our moods.)

目的:先读问题,再读课文,让学生有目的地读。培养学生的答题技巧。速读训练学生的阅读速度。

3. Watch the video and answer the questions in 1b. Before answering the questions, find the key words of each question.

目的:观看影片让学生更直观地了解课文,找出每个问题的关键词,有利于学生更快,更准确地找到答案,教会学生答题的技巧。

Step 3 Consolidation

1.Read after the students and pay attention to the structure of the passage.

2.Discuss about the structure of the passage together. Find the topic sentence and the supporting sentences ,the introduction, the body and the conclusion.

3. Read again and try to retell the passage one sentence by one, then retell the whole passage.

4.Learn some key points and sentences about the passage, while learning,practice the usage of it.

目的:读并分析文章结构,有利于学生更好地理解文本,从整体上把握文章。复述课文,注重语言的输出,为写作打下基础。注重知识点与语法的讲解,为更好地理解文章扫除障碍。

Step 4 Practice

1. Fill in the blanks according to a new passage.

2. Learn some new phrases in the passage.

目的:检测学生的学习效果,培养学生阅读理解的能力,学习新的短语,扩大学生的词汇量与知识面。

Step 5 Project

1. Read a short passage written by me, and discuss the structure, find the topic sentence and supporting sentences.

2. Students write their own passages, then can only change the red words, and use some new words on the screen, so it’s very easy for them to write.

3. Some students read their own passage and correct it in class.

4. Tell students “ In clothes value cleanliness, not fanciness.”

5. Homework.

目的:训练学生写作的能力,根据范文写作,降低了难度,让学生写自己的穿着,将英语运用于实际生活,做到学以致用。告诉学生穿着方面“衣贵洁,不贵华”,引导学生树立正确的价值观。

课后反思:
