StepⅡ.While-reading

1.Listening

Listen to the whole story and circle the verbs about the rabbit, and then fill in the blanks.

2.Scanning

Read Para1-3 silently and circle the verbs about Alice, and then fill in the blanks.

3. Read beyond the lines

Further thinking: What do you think of the white rabbit?

How did Alice feel when she met this rabbit?

If you were Alice, would you jump down the hole after the rabbit? Why?

Read Para 1-3 together with emotion.

4.Read and infer

1) Read paragraph 4-5 carefully and find out T or F in Alice's diary. Underline the clues you can find to support your ideas.

2) Work in pairs and read for more sentences with “but”. Have a discussion on what Alice was like.

3) Read with the tape to find some verbs about Alice in Para4-5.

Further explore what Alice did when she met these difficulties.

StepⅢ. Post-reading

1.Try to be a narrator for an episode Down the rabbit hole in the movie Alice in Wonderland!

Use verbs about Alice to retell the story.

2. Try to enjoy reading another version of this story, and underline the most beautiful sentences.

3. Try to be a writer and tell your own story! Continue to write the story with imagination in groups of four.

4. Share our ideas and complete a short poem about life and reading.
